Database backups

The backend database is a PostgreSQL industry standard database, and probably when we installed it, we set it to do backups to a folder on your system.

However, you will need to copy a backup file on a regular basis to an external drive, and take it offsite, in order to guarantee the safety of your data.

This can be achieved in a number of ways, either by physically using, for example a USB stick drive to copy the files to, or maybe you can automatically copy the files onto a cloud based backup service, like Dropbox.
